Information about your Vodafone order
You have ordered an internet or telephone connection from Vodafone using the cable network. Vodafone has asked us, Fernseh-Schott GbR, to prepare and install your connection at your address.
Important: A basic cable connection is required
Your Vodafone internet connection can only be installed if there is an active basic cable connection for your apartment through Fernseh-Schott GbR. Without this basic cable connection, the Vodafone internet and telephone service cannot be technically activated at your cable socket.
Why are we involved in your Vodafone order?
In many buildings, Vodafone provides the signal up to the building. The cable network inside the building, however, is often operated and maintained by a private local cable network provider.
This part of the network is called network level 4. It includes the cable system inside the building: from the main cable connection in the basement to the cable socket inside your apartment.
In your building, Fernseh-Schott GbR is responsible for this technical cable network. That is why Vodafone has sent your installation order to us.
Simply explained
Vodafone provides the internet signal.
We make sure this signal reaches your apartment through the cable network inside the building.
Both parts are necessary for your connection to work.
Why does the basic cable connection cost money?
The basic cable connection is not only a simple activation. It covers the use, operation and technical maintenance of the cable network inside the building.
The price is different from building to building because every property has a different technical setup.
- Some buildings have larger or more complex cable systems.
- Amplifiers, distributors and cable lines must be maintained.
- The number of apartments can be different.
- Existing agreements with landlords or property managers can be different.
- Technical service and fault repair must be available for the house network.
Because of this, the monthly price for the basic cable connection depends on your exact address. Please contact us and we will tell you the correct price for your apartment.
Your benefit: 10 € special discount
Because a basic cable connection through Fernseh-Schott GbR is necessary at your address, you receive a monthly special discount of 10 € on your Vodafone internet tariff.
This discount helps to reduce the additional cost of the basic cable connection.
Please note: The basic cable connection and your Vodafone internet contract are two separate services.

What is the difference between Vodafone and Fernseh-Schott GbR?
Vodafone contract
Your Vodafone contract includes your booked internet and telephone service, for example the internet tariff, router options and telephone service.
Basic cable connection
The basic cable connection is the technical access to the cable network inside your building. Without this active connection, the Vodafone service cannot be delivered to your apartment.
Fernseh-Schott GbR
We are your local contact for the cable network inside the building. We check the cable socket, activate the connection if possible and help with technical issues related to the house network.
